About the Festival
Faith, family, and community come together for a weekend of fun at our annual event.
Celebrating the Feast of Christ the King
The Christ the King Festival takes its name from one of the most beloved feasts in the Catholic liturgical calendar. Celebrated for centuries, the Feast of Christ the King proclaims the universal sovereignty of Jesus Christ over all peoples, nations, and hearts.
Instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925 through his encyclical Quas Primas, the feast was established as a powerful reminder that Christ's kingship extends beyond the spiritual realm into every aspect of human life and society.
Our festival honors this tradition by creating a gathering where faith, family, and community come together for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and support for Catholic education.
Supporting Catholic Education
All proceeds from the Christ the King Festival benefit Queen of Angels Academy, a traditional Catholic school in Dickinson, Texas, serving students in grades K–12.

Spiritual Formation
Rooted in the Traditional Latin Mass, students participate in the sacramental life of the Church through Confession, the Rosary, and Benediction.

Academic Formation
A classical Liberal Arts curriculum emphasizes English, mathematics, history, science, geography, music, art, Latin, and physical education.

Moral Formation
Education in virtue is woven throughout the curriculum. As a small school, Queen of Angels creates a family atmosphere with disciplined care.
